The girls u15s had there first game today against a very strong Cirencester team full of county players.
The game kicked of at 1.30pm and was an 8 aside affair. The girls started very jittery and were soon conceding a try.
Then our first try came from a break from Rebecca Woodward and finished of by a loan player from Cirencester.
Next to score was new girl and man of the match Chloe seers.
We were in the lead, Cirencester then levelled the try scoring just before half time. Going into the second half Cirencester scored 2 tries in quick succession and then Rebecca Woodward answered back with a smash through the defence from the 22.
Cirencester then scored another 2 tries and Rebecca then answered before the final whistle with another overpowering of Cirencester defensive line.
The final score was 20-38
All the girls showed courage and determination and team spirit.
Coach Mervyn Woodward was very proud of all of them and injured player Olivia Rendell said she can’t wait to get back on the pitch.
