The RFU has shared further guidance for community rugby in England for the return to recreational team sport from Wednesday 2 December. This includes all friendly fixtures and training for males and females, Age Grade and adult, for all contact and non-contact rugby.
Organized outdoor rugby activity with approved adaptations for both match play and training is permitted across all three tiers from Wednesday 2 December. However, it is extremely important that players, coaches, match officials, volunteers, parents, carers, and facility providers continue to strictly follow both the UK Government’s latest COVID-19 guidance and RFU guidance to ensure we can continue our phased return to play. We are now at Stage E on the Return to Rugby roadmap. Our senior team training sessions will recommence from Wednesday 2nd December whilst our junior teams will return to training on Sunday 6 December 2020.
Our clubhouse, however, will remain closed whilst we remain in Tier 2. We recognize that this is hugely disappointing for everyone, but as soon as we are permitted to do so you can be assured that we will open our clubhouse to our members.

We’re encouraging all members, as well as your family and friends, to take advantage of a new offer created between the RFU and Amazon that lets you watch England Rugby for free in the Autumn Nations Cup, while also creating much-needed revenue for the club.
The Quilter Internationals kick off this Saturday and will be streamed online via Amazon Prime. To help grassroots clubs generate revenue, Amazon has worked alongside the RFU to open up registration for clubs to become Amazon Associates.
This means the club will now receive £3 for every member of the community who signs up to Amazon on a free one-month trial through our club’s unique Associates link below.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE THIS UNIQUE LINK www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/primesignup/ref=acph_piv?tag=tewkesburyrfc-21 to sign up for your free one-month trial, otherwise the club won’t benefit from your subscription.
There is no expectation for members to stay on Prime past the trial period. The club will make £3 from each individual sign-up via the unique link, regardless of whether the member stays on past the trial period or not.
Every little helps in these challenging times, so please spread this message and our unique URL link far and wide – friends, colleagues and neighbours are all welcome to sign up!

NEXT MATCH SATURDAY 14 NOVEMBER ENGLAND V GEORGIA
by Tewkesbury RFC | Nov 3, 2020 | Club News
Following the Government announcement on Saturday evening, England is due to go back into lockdown from 5th November until 2nd December.
We believe that all grassroots sports will cease as of midnight on Wednesday 3rd November and therefore any training after this date will stop until we receive further guidance from the RFU. As soon as the RFU issue any updates or new guidance we will share with you as soon as we can.
The lockdown, of course, also impacts the operations of our Clubhouse, so we will close on Wednesday evening until further notice. This also means that our scheduled AGM, due to take place on Saturday 14 November 2020, has now also been cancelled. We hope to reschedule our AGM for the early part of January.
We recognize that this is hugely disappointing for everyone, but as soon as we are able to recommence our activities in a safe way you can be assured play and our clubhouse will open.
Lastly, we would like to thank all our members, players, parents and those of you who support the club. Please keep safe and we will see you very soon we hope!

It’s fantastic to see our Under 12’s pitch seeing some action. Last year we applied for funding to allow us to expand the security fence currently around the ground which ensures the new pitch, built inside the new fence, provides enough playing area to allow all aged under 12’s players to play and train within a secure ground and make it possible to use the clubhouse facilities during their training period.
We would like to thank the following companies and trusts that made this possible. Nat West, Enovert Trust, GCC, Renishaw, Summerfield Trust, Wheatpieces PC, Tewkesbury TC, 200 Club, Secura which included secure fencing, stone burying, soil relaying and laser grading, plus seeding which gives security and all the work the pitch needs to ensure it meets all the club’s needs for future years.
