This week sees Return to Rugby Training starting following the RFU’s guidance on the 2nd June regarding a phased return to sport and recreation following updated advice from the Government on Sunday 31st May. The RFU have issued their “Return to Rugby Roadmap” for Community Rugby which sets out a step by step approach to a phased re-opening for community-based clubs.
This, of course, is welcome news to us all, we know that everyone is keen to resume as soon as possible, given the abrupt end to our 2019/2020 season! However, we must all still be mindful that we can only take these steps when we, as a Club, are confident that it is safe to do so.
Our Return to Rugby training will initially start with the U16 team. Once we have assessed the processes and can ensure that we can operate safely we will look to see how we can accommodate further teams. We know everyone is keen to return to rugby as soon as possible, but we would ask everyone for their patience, you can be assured that we will do everything we can, whilst maintaining the highest safety levels.
